;DGlory Glory Manchester United!! ;D
After enduring a torid week, the Red Devils have Finally found their feet. A performance worthy of the late Best saw Manchester United romp to a 4-0 win at home against a resurgent Wigan side. The first 30 minutes were torture as our players pounded at the Wigan goal with no avail. A solid performance by Wigan's goalkeeper further pilled on the frustrations, which saw great efforts from Paul Scholes and Wayne Rooney turned wide. But to the delight of Sir Alex and the fans, its was 2-0 to the good at half time. The early second hlaf saw Wigan run rings around the United defence. But the determined United side refused to back down and hit Wigan on the break, with Ruud Van Nistelrooy stringing the ball past a couple of Wigan defenders to an on-running Rooney who put the ball over Wigan goalkeeper for a delightfull chip. The final goal came in the form of a penalty after Van Nistelrooy was judged to have been brought down by the goal keeper in the penalty box. A cool finish which saw the goalkeeper guess the wrong side put Van Nistelrooy on the scoresheet yet again. When the ref blew the final whistle, it was evident that the United manager was absolutely elated with his team's preformance and so were the fans. A sigh of better things to come, well the Old Trafford faithfull sure hope so, and I reamain adament the its the case ;D.
